Who is our tool for? Any B2B company that prospects.

Standard segmentation criteria such as the NAF code, turnover or headcount therefore don’t let us obtain a list of our potential prospects at all, because what matters to us isn’t so much the sector or the volume of business as the fact that the company operates in B2B.

So how do you do it? By using semantic and technology criteria. And with Mixdata, it’s child’s play!

Semantics, the royal road to targeting

B2B means specific vocabulary!

Among the expressions we can find on a B2B company’s website, there are: “B2B”, “for businesses”, “your customer relationships”… By entering this type of expression in Mixdata’s keyword search fields, we obtain the list of all the companies that have one of these expressions on their website. For example, the phrase “for businesses” appears on the websites of more than 40,000 companies, all in B2B in all likelihood.

We can also target agencies with expressions such as “communications agency”. Or consultancies: “consulting in” (there are more than 55,000 of them)…

It’s also possible to target companies in the digital marketing sector. How? By searching for companies that have terms such as “web marketing” in their keyword cloud (editor’s note: the keywords most representative of the content of their website, and therefore most representative of the company’s activity), we can target companies that offer this kind of service.

We then complete this first targeting on the content of company websites with targeting on the functions present in companies’ org charts.

Because B2B means specific functions!

In the functions of B2B company org charts, we may find words such as: “key account”, “corporate clients” or “B2B”… Identify the words relating to your target, enter them in the dedicated field of the Mixdata search engine, and obtain the list of all the companies that have at least one job title containing one of these words.

This adds a number of companies that we had missed with the first targeting. One final step to get the most exhaustive B2B targeting possible: searching by technology!

Technologies: the cherry on the cake

Mixdata detects more than 900 technologies on company websites (CRM, CMS, retargeting, etc.). Let’s make the most of that too! By targeting all the companies that have a technology likely to be used by B2B companies, we can detect the B2B companies that had so far managed to slip through our net.

And once we have our lists of companies, so what?

Well, you can then export the list of the contacts that interest us within the companies selected, along with their contact details! Are we looking for the heads of the sales departments? Or marketing? Or a specific function? Just say so.

And then there are all the other refining criteria we haven’t told you about…

If we want to refine our selection by taking into account only the companies that have more than 5 people in their sales department, that’s possible too. Refining by turnover as well.

Plus a host of other features and targeting opportunities made possible by Mixdata; feel free to fill in this contact form so we can tell you about the full range of targeting possibilities in your particular case.
